Vision: A 60s-inspired Bridal shoot, with all the sass and sensuality of a sixties icon; escaping expectation, pursuing passion. Refusing to settle, our Bride packs a suitcase, buys a one-way ticket, and embarks on a journey to meet her beau at the altar. We capture Bridal prep moments of a different kind- pre-wedding cloud nine feels and all with a retro glow.

Impulsive. Romantic. Free.

“When I do love I do it without counting. I give myself entirely. And each time it is the grand love of my life”

Location: Rushden Station and The Goods Shed

Inspiration & Styling: Never have I ever visited such a vintage venue; Rushden Station is bursting at the seams with retro feels and it was impossible not to be inspired. The burgundy tones of the platform buildings, the dusky pink of the carriages antiquated by sunlight and the barely touched charm of the carriages stole our imagination. It didn’t feel like the end of the line, but instead the start of a great adventure- for a runaway bride of sorts. This venue has bags of rustic charm and plenty of old-school quirks providing the perfect backdrop for an elopement reminiscent of an era long gone.

Our Bride is quietly rebellious, full of flirtation but still a little coy as she explores the carriages and basks in the morning sunlight peeking over the station house; Priya was the perfect choice of model, ‘time-traveller’ and ‘story-teller’ by her own description. In these moments, Winter is gradually moving into Spring, and Grace Florals perfectly adds a touch of luxury and drama with her floral combinations, predominantly fresh flowers with a peppering of dried boho true to her brand. The seasons blend with rich black baccara roses and fresh white ranunculi partnered in this bouquet; wintery green thistle is dotted delicately amongst the spring blooms of anemones, while a plume of pampas brings these florals bang on trend for 2022.

This is a look for the modern Bride inspired by the rebellious females of the past. Her classic mini dress is both sweet and sexy in equal measure- demure, yet somewhat bold. An original 60s piece means sustainability too- dress supplier Flamingo Bridal specialise in vintage, preloved and customised bridalwear for fashion forward and individual brides. Wrapped seductively in faux fur (Brigette would be proud) and with tussled locks tamed by an iconic Six Stories bow, she pulls us into the whirlwind romance of it all and we imagine a train journey of daydreams and anticipation.

We never see who’s waiting for her at the end of the tracks- but there’s no doubt he’ll be waiting.

Fashion & Beauty Our beautiful model, Priya, is dressed in an original 60s ivory silk mini dress, lovingly named ‘Edie’, with original matching coat and topped with an original 60s faux fur tan-coloured overcoat. She wears burgundy rainbow glitter Mary-Jane heels to add that ‘je ne sais quoi’.

Accessorised by Six Stories, she wears a luxurious feminine bow clip with delicately placed pearl drop ends and carries their pearl bucket bag ‘of dreams’; Six Stories are all about the ‘journey to getting married’ and their beautiful bridal collections let you lean into the excitement of those pre-wedding butterflies.

Inspired by a sixties effortlessly cool feminine style, Beth of B W Beauty gave Priya a signature Brigette smoky eye with a touch of cat-eye flick and soft burgundy lip. Using a classic 60s beehive and bow Kerry Claire HMUA added to the look by creating a tussled but chic up-do, to compliment the simplicity and elegance of the dress.
